Salish Sea SUP Crossing

Stand Up Paddle Salish Sea Crossing | #SALISHSUPX

For the fifth year in a row we will once again be challenging the Georgia Strait on our Stand Up Paddle Boards in the month of July 2018

Some very brave stand-up paddlers will be challenging the Georgia Strait again July 2018. Will you stand to support them? We do this crossing for a good cause and charity. The Charity will be announced latter this year.

Paddling from Nanaimo to Vancouver, our four paddlers will take as long as 12 hours to cover as many as 70 kilometres while crossing the Straight in July 2018, depending on conditions. In so doing, they’ll face open seas, encounter marine life such as the pods of orcas and dolphins Coastal BC’s been blessed to see lately, dodge BC Ferries, and endure (hopefully) the summer sun. It’s all so they can raise funds for a charity.

The crossing is very arduous to say the least. For our next crossing each paddler or group of paddlers will be required to provide their own support boat and will also need to arrange their own transportation and lodging. More details to follow.
